10 things

i'm launching a new blog feature called 10 things. it will be published...well...when i come up with 10 things.

volume 1

  1. every black man sofia sees on tv she says "BARACK OBAMA!!!".
  2. dallas meteorologists need to go back to school.
  3. facebook is OUT OF CONTROL!!!
  4. gustavo and i have talked ourselves around the world but really been nowhere. we had this revelation recently and finally...actually booked a trip for next june to argentina!!!
  5. my running partner is pregnant. i am happy for her but nervous that i might gain weight as she does except without child.
  6. stella only wants to be outside. stella is defiant. stella stands at the front door ALL DAY LONG and screams at it, then leans on it, then falls to the floor and lays against it.
  7. it is not possible to capture a good picture with a 5 year old and a 1 year old. to the 5 year old's credit, the 1 year old is really the problem.
  8. sofia and i went to gap to buy some casual clothes for ME. how did sofia migrate me to gap kids and buy for her? then i felt i needed to buy for stella too. i bought nothing for self.
  9. the additional cost of "peeled onions" is worth every penny.
  10. gustavo does not think that you can look casual cute. he thinks you either look casual or cute, but you can't be both. i find this very annoying.

I could not agree with #3 more!!

argentina is AWESOME - good for you!

this is a cool idea - look forward to more "10"s.

i vote that casual and cute can live in harmony together - sorry gustavo :)

and yes, gustavo, you can look both casual and cute.

Let me clarify, my comments were taking out of context, I agree that you can be casual and cute. What I expressed is that just because you dress up casual you are not automatically cute.

maybe instead of running, you and your partner should meet for coffee (or OJ) and muffins. =)
and for what its worth, 6yr olds and 3 yr olds can't take a decent picture together either!

Hilarious! I laughed and re-read and laughed and re-read Stella wanting to go outside and screaming at the door. Funny!

Argentina? That's great! Travel is my first love. I don't get to go nearly as much as I would like. But I have BIG dreams. A long list of 'somedays.'

And yes, mama, it IS hard to get a siblings photo at these ages. I'll only attempt this feat for a photo to turn into my holiday card to please the grandparents (and myself) and annoy my single friends. Everyone else just enjoys the cuteness of recieving yet another picture of my kids...right...right? Makes the challenge of getting a great picture of them together worth it...well, maybe.

Love the 10!
