gustavo and i broke down and bought the wii, mostly for AI and wii fit (however we've been thoroughly enjoying tennis).
setup:
gustavo and i entered our profile information last night. it's VERY depressing that the first thing the wii board says as you step on it is "ouch". geez, if that's not a reality check! it's also depressing that my "real age" is 47. that's right, FORTY SEVEN. gustavo's is 40. oh, and also depressing is that my score when i attempted a balance game was "couch potato". MAN!
game on:
gustavo and i entered a 60 day competition beginning yesterday. we were each given a recommended BMI goal, so whoever achieves or comes closest wins.
winner takes:
gustavo wants a shotgun. if you know gustavo you too will find this an odd choice. i guess it was just a matter of time before my family influenced him. he said he is gearing up for dove season. he's never hunted.
i want a getaway to the arkansas ozark mountains.
this blog post is just further accountability. i'll let you know results in 59 days, or maybe i'll even give you a 30 day status update.

please do keep me posted because i've been nagging david to buy me one. i wanna know everything.
i've got $20 bucks on denise!
Re: the info in the setup section....i can only imagine that the wii would tell me i was 68 or so. in which case i would be stomping back to the store and returning the product, mumbling "this product $#%@%".
Good luck - i am dying to hear the progress and outcome.

I, too, am eager to hear how this works for you guys. I'm wondering if it would be THE piece of workout "equipment" we would actually use or end up in a yard sale, garbage, dust covered in a closet or still in my father's basement after 5 years of "can we store this here temporarily." Good luck!
my favorite billboard ever was an ad for the dallas morning news classifieds...it had a big exercise bike on it and said "lose 50 pounds fast - sell it." so true...so true...
i would love to have this and am very jealous that you got it. i have been telling ryan that i'd like it for my bday...we'll see!
gustavo wants a shotgun? i not only find that an odd choice but almost unbelievable.
i wish you luck my friend. you are going to win...i can feel it.
Well I think I'm going to have to go buy a Wii too. I never knew about the AI game. That's right up my alley. But this fit business...the Fergusons could use a little assistance there. Keep us updated. Sounds like Gustavo has been around Nick Bomersbach...Nick got Chad all excited about buying pistols!
