3 movies, 2 reviews, 1 week

flight of the red balloon, starring juliette binoche - inspired by albert lamorisse’s 1956 classic, “the red balloon" about a young boy and the the balloon that follows him through the streets of paris.

juliette binoche gave a fantastic performance as does the young boy. you really learn who the characters are just by their day to day life without a back story.

denise: b+
gustavo: "i wouldn't see it again"

the visitor - fabulous acting!!! widowed professor is going through life numb, until he visits NYC for a conference and meets a young couple (a senegalese girl and a syrian guy). his life finds purpose through music, new relationships, and the fight for immigration.

denise: add it to your netflix today!

sex in the city -no need for a review, however i will note that i have never even seen an episode. i thoroughly enjoyed, maybe because i wasn't jazzed about seeing the movie and had low expectations. the best part, i went with six girlfriends!
all this, in one week. the week the girls were away, that is!

i love juliette binoche. LOVE her. have you ever seen red, white, blue? three flims..all tied together in the end of the third one. very good.

i have wanted to see the visitor. maybe i'll get to watch that this weekend since last weekend we saw national treasure part 2. oh, and 27 dresses...so maybe not.

the weekend before we saw the bucket list, 300 and semi-pro. i do NOT recommend semi-pro. but i am laughing as i type that so maybe i do.

our movies were decidedly much lower-brow that yours...at least that weekend.

and i have never watched one episode of sex & the city but would love to see the movie. i love that you saw it with 6 girls. good times.

I'm embarrassed that I told you we saw "What Happened in Vegas". You're way more cultured than me!
