- i'm trying to accept that sofia's vision of a clean room is not necessarily my vision....and that is okay. it's hard though!!! i'm type a.
- these days stella is typically mad unless she's eating or with papi.
- after about an hour of me telling sofia to go to sleep and her just laying in bed wide awake, she finally said to me: "mami i don't know how to go to sleep, i only know how to fall asleep". i told her to fall asleep and within 5 minutes she was asleep.
- facebook stole my 10 things, except they are calling it "25 random things".
- my mother is NOTORIOUS for making up words or using random words out of context. i have to start writing these things down. it could be a book, it would be an amazing list of quotes. here's her latest one: "how much do you think those condoms are?" yeah, she meant "condos".
- sofia and gustavo have a saturday morning donuts tradition at krispy kreme. last friday she woke up at 5am calling for gustavo and told him "papi do you dream about what kind of donut you are going to order....i'm dreaming of glazed with pink icing." she did go back to sleep for 2 more hours, thankfully!
- i was recently at a party, met a scientist that works at baylor in human immunology, specifically HIV. he said that he is confident that there would be a vaccine for HIV in 20 years. i hope so!!! gustavo said there was a 50% chance that he was faking the french accent & had the business cards printed just to get lucky that day. i thought he was believable...just the target he was looking for i suppose.
- sofia ran around with a shamrock on her head all day on st patrick's day saying "kiss me i'm honduran".
- stella has learned the word "MINE". to her, EVERYTHING is hers. her lowest moment....sofia was giving me a hug, stella came running over, pushed sofia away, and yelled "MINE"!!!!!
- facebook has made me lose steam for my 10 things, so this might indeed be the last volume published.

I love the parallels in between our kids since they are so close in age. Tristan, too, uses 'mine' all the time AND is pretty much cranky non-stop these days. I know it's "age appropriate" since they are frustrated by what they can and cannot do, but, MAN, it's annoying!
