back to school!

sofia started her pre k 4 full day program on august 25, one day before her 5th birthday. here's some interesting things that she's done and that she's had to say:

  • "i rested next to a really handsome boy today!"

  • "i was a princess hunter in drama class today"

  • misc. items packed in her backpack and given to her new bff - alakina: a james avery cross necklace, a coin purse full of change, various stuffed animals, her lunch, sea shells....i could go on.

  • "i got in trouble today for rolling around on the bathroom floor and being disruptive."

  • "i went to spanish class today and learned how to say (insert over the top spanish accent) "hola""???

  • "i obey my teacher."

  • "god planned for me, he planted a seed so i could grow up on earth."

  • "please stop asking me questions about my school day."

some back to school activities:

  • meet the teacher

  • carnival

  • meet the parents

  • meet the moms with coffee, mimosas, bloody marys

  • carnival

one bonus about catholic school: beer at all school functions (beer stand at the school carnival)

Love the things she has taken to school to give her BFF! Ryan, in true dude fashion, wants to take things to school, not to share, but show it off and not let a soul play with it. Girls and boys are so different. They say women are the gatherers...we gather to give away. If you need it, we want to have it to give. So sweet. And, yippy on the beer! My boys are going to a Methodist pre-school so they don't even get to wear Halloween costumes...evil holiday.

Sophia is great!

1. LOVE the uniform - too cute for words.

2. hey, at least you get info out of her at all - i get "good" and "fine" and "nothing".

3. i'm thinking of converting to catholocism...can you advise me in that regard?

i am becoming a catholic. where do i sign up. i am pretty sure that once i share this beer fact with ryan that he will be returning to his roots and saying a hail mary with every beer he drinks.

that uniform is TOO much. and i love the comment about the handsome boy!!!

isn't that the truth about catholics??? i have several friends who are catholic and at there wedding receptions the priest's beat us to the bar to get there wine, scotch and bourbon ect.... we laugh and joke about this all the time and they host these las vegas/gambling type nights and sell raffle tickets and BEER at these events. its pretty cool to be able to have your child get a great education go to the events and be able to drink on top of it. makes it not so boring.

she does look adorable in her uniform and the matching headband, love it.
