sofia was very excited about soccer months ago, but as the reality approached her excitement for soccer transitioned to "don't worry about taking me to soccer practice today because i am going to start gymnastic class instead". well, we survived soccer practice. helpful tips to anyone out there that is going to put their 5 year old girl in soccer:
- pink shin guards
- pink soccer socks
- pink ball
- soccer shoes with pink in them
- pre-existing friends as teammates

jess and i have no frame of reference for anything pink, i fear.
we're about to face the same battle with henry, i'm sure. he'll be doing fall soccer league and his fervor will undoubtedly fade and he'll have to be forced to go (much like i was in the 3rd grade).
hey, gymnastics will be fun though...
E-I find if I "bribe" Ryan with anything black sporting skull and cross-bones, he's IN. Now, I'm sure there are cleats to be found that look like death on your feet. Yup, no pink for us...
