i don't have the girls this week. you always find a way to fill your time. before kids, i was always sooooooo busy. with kids, i am soooooooo busy. after all, i am my mother's daughter. i am busy. this week has been very productive, not in the typical sense though. this week i've had very productive conversations with gustavo, very productive self reflective memonts, productive purpose-driven thoughts vs. my typical productive laundry, pick up the house, run, blog, email, dry cleaning, errands, grocery store moments. this week has been difficutl but feels good too. i usually don't miss my girls when they are away, but i've actually missed them this week. they are having fun at lb & papa's and that's good....

Your kids are so lucky to have Nanny as their great-grandmother! She is such a special lady and I love her as if she was my GGM! I have to ask, how did she end up in the back of your car? She is 90 ya know!
Rob and I need this and do not have such willing grandparents. I can't even get them to okay an entire weekend. My boys aren't SO bad that someone wouldn't want them for a weekend, are they? Perhaps I need to do some parenting reflecting. Well, try to enjoy it. They'll be back and you'll be in full summer mode before you know it.
i'm green with envy. what is the silence like? i don't remember anymore...
i feel you on missing the kiddos. i can't WAIT to get rid of them and then i spend the entire time away missing them. it's god's big joke on parents, i guess.
okay listen - you can't just DELETE a comment without telling us who it came from and what it was and why you deleted it. COME ON!.
if the silence gets too unbearable, i've got a racoon or two i could send over.
2 thumbs up on the whole being thought-provoking and not so much busy-provoking. i think we all forget how to be grown-ups, while we're bing moms
D - belt out those show tunes and "dance like noone is watching" while the kids are away!! A little bit of change is good for the soul...
Sofia and her friend really know how to market that lemonade!
i envy this...i have lost all momentum and pray it returns before the summer is out. however, GOOD FOR YOU!!!
Cute pics of the kiddos...however...I'm sure a margarita and beer stand would have been much more profitable!
