sofia can steal stella's thunder sometimes (okay, well maybe all the time). maybe it is a first child thing (i'm positive danner stole all my thunder??), or maybe it is a sofia thing? how dare i take a video or picture of stella without sofia being in it (sofia would actually prefer to be in the video or picture alone, but she will "allow" stella to make a presence). how dare stella get breakfast before sofia. how dare stella get dressed before sofia. i could go on. i don't want to dog on sofia too much because the truth is that she is a very loving and patient sister. there is one thing that sofia will "allow" stella to do before her. she will allow stella to go to bed before her.
on wednesdays sofia is in school until 3pm, and i don't work. lately wednesdays have been used to go to the grocery store or run other random errands. stella just goes with the flow. maybe that's a second child thing? i feel certain i was a very low maintenace second child!
today stella caught a break. we didn't have any errands. so we've been in the backyard, having lunch, watering plants, swinging, sliding (kind of), playing on the grass. on this occassion, stella's favorite activity was watching the water come out of the water hose and the noise that went along with it. i plan for stella and i to have more wednesdays like this....oh, wait a minute, sofia's school is out next week. i've said it a million times, i'll say it again....poor stella. well maybe not, i think she has a pretty good life.
p.s. - gustavo, i found the sugar ant home. i think we can conquer it tonight!!!

love this and i love stella! where did you get that swing? we are in the market for one.
and just FYI...i am not sure lindsey was a go with the flow 2nd child - you can ask my mom to confirm or deny that one. :)

We have to be careful with what we say to Stella. If she plays her cards right she can milk me for a ton of things on this premise alone.
b - not sure, babies r us or toys r us maybe. we have a bucket swing (like the infant swings at parks) in our front yard. i kind of like this better. we got that swing at one of those wooden swing companies that you see everywhere, typically off highways and the such.
Just when you think you've got having the second child down-pat, here comes summer... I completely feel ya here.
