destination galveston, tx

if you are from texas, chances are you think poorly of texas beaches. i thought this too. but after moving back to texas from mass, i found texas beaches to be great! no, you don't have the white sands or the dunes of the cape but you do have a beach that is in your state (albeit GIGANTIC state). don't be a beach snob, visit your texas beaches! we stayed at lara's great house at pirates beach in galveston, so i am checking this off my list!

who went:
my friend since 3rd grade (julie) and my friend from college (lara).

highlights:
julie and i drove down on thursday. we stopped in the woodlands for lunch at market street, and dave met us for a beer. i just love that guy!

we observed julie's poor ear condition.

we got to play with ms. skylar. she rivals with stella for title of most chill baby of the year. she's adorable, and the best part is to be able to see lara and randy with her!
