checked off the list. sofia's friend, cade, came over on sunday to play. gustavo took them to target to buy kites and left target with 2 kites. cade was not going to be okay with a barbie kite, and sofia was not going to be okay with a superman kite. if i am being completely honest, this was kind of an anticlimatic experience for me, and i think i can speak for sofia and say the same. i'm not sure what my expectation was....maybe we didn't have good wind, maybe we didn't have good kites, maybe you need to be at the beach to get the real kite flying experience, i know sofia didn't completely understand how to leverage the kite. nonetheless, we did it, and we will do it again!
(yes, sofia is sporting a wedding dress ensemble while kite flying)
(upset that their kite won't stay in the sky long enough)

i agree...flying a kite is hard! it's one of those things that the idea of it is so much more fun that the actual activity. i love how sofia dressed for the occasion!
