wednesday playgroup

history of playgroup: it started (2003) with about 10 friends and friends of friends who were pregnant. we would get together frequently for playgroup and once a month for mom's night out. some people moved and some people fell out of the loop and kids got older and activities started and playgroup became more of a random affair. fast forward 2 years (2005), and another set of friends and friends of friends had babies and were very consistent about wednesday gatherings. fast forward two years (2007), the 2003 playgroup rained on the 2005 playgroup's parade. we now have 21 kids (combining playgroups and adding siblings) with ages ranging from 5 years to 7 weeks, and we meet consistently every wednesday at 4pm rotating houses. rule of the host: provide dinner for adults and kids. rule of the attendee: bring beverage of choice. i'll try to start documenting wednesdays better!

today we went to jill's house. we were supposed to have an egg hunt in her backyard, but with the ran from yesterday her backyard was a swamp. so instead jill set up egg decorating on her back porch. it was a hit (and a mess!!!).
